Course Summary

The Level 3 Certificate in Food Science and Nutrition is equivalent in size to one A level. It is for students interested in learning about the food sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of HE courses, but not necessarily in food alone. It lends itself to sport, biology and health and social care as there are many cross curricular links.

• Skills for independent learning and development

• A range of generic and transferable skills

• The ability to solve problems

• The skills of project based research

• The ability to work in a professional environment
