What will I learn at A Level?
Initially you will develop an understanding of management decision making within the following key business areas at local, national and global level:
Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resource Management.
This will then progress to investigation strategic decisions facing businesses, with a focus on influences, feasibility and risks of strategic decision making.
Students are not required to have studied GCSE Business Studies, but a Level 5 or above in English and Maths would be beneficial to learners as you will be expected to answer data response style questions and undertake financial calculations.
A Level Business Studies is highly regarded by universities and industry. There is a number of Business and Economics related degrees that would be the natural progression from this A Level, but it is also an asset for other degrees, such as Law, Accountancy and Social Sciences.
