Overview

This course is made up of 18 units and is the equivalent of 3 A Levels.  The first 10 are completed in the first year and 8 in the second year. There is a compulsory requirement to complete 100 hours work experience as part of the course.

 

Details

This course is equivalent in size to three A Levels. Over the two year course you will study a diverse range of topics including: human development, care and support, public health, psychology, sociology, research techniques and analysis, anatomy, physiology and biological disorders. You will also undertake work experience, planning and logging your own progress in this area.

 

 

 

How will it be delivered?

13 units are studied of which 8 are mandatory coursework units and 5 are externally examined. Mandatory content (72%). External assessment (42%).

 

Entry requirements

5 GCSE's preferably including English and Maths. A merit or above in any BTEC subject shows ability for coursework.
