Mathematics underpins virtually all practical developments within the STEM industries, helping to form the modern world as we know it. This traditional A Level subject will stretch and challenge your understanding of mathematical concepts, where you will deal with highly abstract topics which will require considerable imagination, as well as a technical understanding of disciplines such as geometry, calculus and trigonometry.

The topics you study will build on, and move beyond, the skills you learnt at GCSE, ensuring that you move towards a higher understanding of topics such as:

• Coordinate geometry
• Sequences and series
• Graphs and functions
• Exponentials and logarithms
• Probability and data
• Mechanics
Your learning experience will see you develop the ability to think creatively and strategically, which will see you develop analytical and logical thinking skills. You’ll apply the concepts you learn to real-life scenarios, grounding your learning so that you understand how Maths can help you to formulate well-reasoned answers to extended questions.

With the support of our outstanding teachers, you’ll build on the topics that you covered in GCSE such as trigonometry, leading to a deeper understanding of mathematical principles. You will also have the opportunity to explore a range of exciting experiences outside the classroom that can inspire and motivate your passion for Mathematics. The opportunities that an A Level in Mathematics afford are many and varied, and our passionate subject experts will help you to discover endless future possibilities!

How will it be delivered?

Assessment is 100% examination.
