Are you hoping to move into a career working with people? Do you want to work in a rewarding role that will have a genuinely positive impact on society? This Level 2 course will help you gain skills and knowledge that support progression to the Health and Social Care industry. It also supports progression to Level 3 study programmes.


This course will see you studying topics that reflect common practices in Health and Social Care including:

• Effective communication
• Individual rights in Health and Social Care
• Human lifespan development
• Healthy living
• Human body systems and the care of disorders
• Health and Social Care values

Over this one year course you will study a wide range of units. Throughout the year you will build a portfolio, which may include posters, leaflets and video evidence. Our excellent resources help you to succeed, whilst case studies, group work and role play also helps you to build skills and confidence. The course includes 25 hours of work experience, where you will put your theory into practice.

Assessment is via your assignments and external assessment.

Your next steps...

Upon completion you could progress to the Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification. Following this, you could progress to university degrees such as Nursing or Social Care. You can also look to enter the workplace straight away.
